Peter Venkman was up to something bad. Something so devious, is caused him to pause and chuckle every few minutes or so. Earlier, he was helping Egon, Ray, and Winston clean out the lab of old equipment they no longer needed. Peter came across an old version of Anrthist's Spell Guide. He flipped through the old pages and came upon a love potion.

The potion seemed pretty basic; it only used home ingredients and could work on anyone. Not believing his luck, he tucked the book under his shirt and headed to the door.

"Peter, where are you going?" Ray asked, looking up from a box of wires.

Peter shrugged nonchalantly. "I'm tired and dusty. I think I need some water."

"That sounds nice, would you bring me a glass?" Egon asked, his head covered by mountains of blueprints.

Peter smiled. "Of course I will!"

Winston cocked an eyebrow. Peter seemed awfully happy to fetch Egon a glass of water. Knowing him, he had to be cooking up something devious. He probably was sneaking off so he would have to help them finish the job they started. If Winston knew what Peter really had planned, he would have tackled him to keep him from leaving.

Peter headed to the kitchen and removed the book from under his t-shirt. He put the book on the counter and flipped to the dog-eared page. He grabbed a tumbler from the sink and started to search for the ingredients.

"Let's see," he mumbled, running an index finger down the page. "One cup of water." He filled the tumbler. "Check." The rest of the ingredients were simple things found around the kitchen. Honey, Sugar, Rose Petals, which he had to steal from Janine, some various spices like Cinnamon, Ginger and Rosemary. A few swirls and his potion was complete.

He took a testing sniff. It smelled sweet and kind of spicy. He grinned, now all he had to do was give it to Egon. Egon'd drink anything before he noticed what it was. He would have to make sure Egon was distracted.

As he looked at the book for instruction. Reading the words from the crusty pages, he fanned a hand over the glass. "Iay antway histay otionpay otay orkway!" He stared at the tumbler and heard a fizzing sound. The potion was starting to coagulate into an orange ooze.

"Great!" he growled. "How am I going to get him to drink this! He'd know it wasn't water!"

He turned back to the book and carefully re-read the instructions. As he passed another section he felt a grin break out on his face. By the book, Egon didn't have to drink it, just get some spilled on him.

Peter closed the book, clutched it to his chest, and laughed. "Oh that works even better!"

He slid the book back under his shirt and grabbed his potion. Smirking, he turned off the lights and headed back to the lab.

"Ouch, Egon! My hand!" Ray grumbled as Egon managed to drop another piece equipment on Ray.

Winston chuckled at the sight of Ray hopping up and down. "Now you know why I'm over here!"

They were trying to get a cabinet of Egon's moved near the doorway so they could clean behind it. Over the years, many Twinkie wrappers, Cheez-it boxes, and other foodstuffs had found home behind the metal mammoth.

"Jesus, Egon. You can feed an army with the stuff back here!" Winston exclaimed, getting the broom.

Egon cleared his throat. "That mess is not entirely mine. I do remember a certain Ghostbuster dropping a hostess pie behind it."

Winston laughed. "Yeah, but at least I picked it up!"

Before Winston could attack the food pile, a green blob swooped in and licked the floor and wall clean, leaving trails of green glop. Sighing, Winston grabbed the mop bucket.

Ray and Egon started to move the cabinet again when Peter appeared. Peter tried to squirm his way past, but he accidentally tripped over Ray's ankle.

Ray gave a small squeak as Egon dropped the cabinet on his foot. He started to hop and scream and bumped into Peter, who stumbled again and dribbled contents of his glass on himself.

"RAY!" Peter cried, looking at the mess on his shirt.

Ray was still hopping up and down yelling.

"Raymond, I'm so sorry!" Egon apologized, rushing over to the shorter man. "Your sudden movement caused the weight to be displaced and I dropped it!"

Winston came over to inspect the accident. Egon had grabbed a chair for Ray to sit down.

Peter hurriedly swiped at the mess on his shirt. Winston saw what he was doing and offered a handkerchief. Peter looked up to say thanks and that's when the potion went into effect.

"Oh no," Peter muttered.

Winston cocked an eyebrow at Peter. "What's wrong, you hurt your foot too?"

Ray moaned loudly. Egon patted his shoulder and started his rash of apologies over again.

"Peter, are you okay?!" Winston asked, snapping his fingers at Peter's face.

Peter's head cocked to one side as a dreamy look came over his face. "Winston..." he breathed.

Winston took a step back near Egon. "Egon, something's wrong with Pete!"

Egon pushed his glasses up his nose. "Pardon me?"

Peter walked over and pushed Egon out of the way, making him fall over Ray's foot, causing the occultist to scream a bit more.

He opened the small fridge and put the tumbler of remaining potion inside.

"Winston..." he said again, walking closer to his intended target.

Winston's brown eyes widened with fright. What was wrong with Peter?! "Peter, you're scaring me man."

Peter reached a hand out to Winston. Winston shied away and ran behind Ray's chair.

Ray felt his own eyes open wide. What was wrong with Peter?

"Winston, don't run from me. I love you!" Peter cried, clasping his hands over his chest in a sign of devotion.

A small eeping sound came from behind Ray. "Peter, what did you do now!?" Ray asked frantically.

Peter ignored the occultist's request and walked towards the chair. As he moves, his shirt flapped out and the book hit the floor.

When Winston scrambled away, tripping over a stunned Egon, Peter replied to Ray, "Nothing, I'm trying to convince Winston I'm the one for him!"

Winston made gagging noises. "Man, he's scaring me. Keep him away, Ray!"

Peter's green eyes watered over. "What? You don't love me?!"

Ray reached out with his uninjured foot and scooted the book towards him. He flipped through the pages and came upon what he thought Peter had found. "Oh my goodness..." he muttered.

Winston grabbed Egon and placed the physicist in front of himself as a shield. "Not the way you think!"

Egon squirmed out of Winston's grasp and scrambled away. "Don't get behind me! I'm not in on this!"

Janine appeared in the doorway holding a small notepad. "You've had a few call-- What's going on in here?!" she asked, looking at the shocked expression on Winston, Egon and Ray's faces and the dreamy one on Peter's.

Ray sighed, keeping a grip on the tee shirt. "Peter made a love potion and now he's in 'love' with Winston."

Janine gasped and dropped the notepad. Seconds later, she was holding at her stomach with laughter. "What?! Dr. V's in love with W-W-Winston!?" She suddenly vanished from the doorway and returned moments later with a video camera.

"Next time the bastard cheats me on a raise, I got this!" Janine exclaimed, pressing record on the camera.

"Peter," Ray said calmly, grabbing the edge of Peter's tee shirt. "Did you make the love potion in this book?"

Peter looked down at Ray with love adoring eyes. "What love potion?" He looked back at Winston and made kissy sounds with his mouth.

Winston jumped to his feet and screamed. "AHHHH!" He turned and ran, pushing past Janine and stampeding for the stairs.

"Winnie pooh!" Peter cried out, taking chase after the frightened Ghostbuster. "Don't leave me!"

Janine was the first to follow; keeping the camera trained on those two. Ray could only sit and nurse his sore foot.

Seconds later there was a scream and a loud crash.

"What happened?!" Ray called out.

"They fell down the stairs," Egon's bass rumbled back.

Ray gasped. "Are they okay?!"

Janine's voice returned this time. "They're okay! Peter broke Winston's fall."

Ray jumped up and hobbled to the stairs where Egon and Janine were. Janine's hand was threatening to drop the camera because she was laughing to hard. Egon had the most astonished look on his face.

Egon cleared his throat. "And Peter looks very happy... "

Ray turned to see what they were gawking at. Peter and Winston were at the foot of the stairs. Winston was sprawled on top of Peter and Peter had a death grip, hugging Winston for all he was worth.

The black man was trying his best to squirm from the death grip, but it seemed that Peter's strength had increased tenfold. Smiling contentedly, Peter hung on, squeezing Winston to him.

Winston turned pleading eyes on the people at the top of the stairs. "Ray! Egon! Do something! ARGH!"

Peter purred. "No! No one else can have him!" He squeezed again, making Winston gasp in protest.

Winston looked heavenward. "Why me? Eleven-five a year is NOT worth this stress!"

Ray couldn't believe the sight before his eyes. "Egon, Peter made a love potion. Remember that glass he had?"

Egon put a hand to his chin. "I believe I do, Raymond."

"He put it in the fridge. I think that's the rest of the potion," Ray said, looking back at the carnage on the floor.

"Peter," Egon called out. "Would you come upstairs for some tests?"

Peter hugged Winston again. "As long as I can bring my Winnie with me!"

Egon sighed. "Yes, you can bring your Winnie with you," Egon said, sounding as if he was talking to a small child.

Peter smiled and jumped to his feet. He started up the stairs, dragging Winston behind him.

*THUMP* "Ouch!"

*THUMP* "OWW!"

*THUMP* "ARGH!"

*THUMP* "HELP!"

"Peter, let him stand up!" Ray said exasperated.

Peter stopped and looked at Ray with innocent eyes. "And give him a chance to run away? Nope!"

By the time Peter reached the top of the stairs, Winston had a dazed look on his face. "Pretty stars, pretty moons. Where are the lucky charms, mom!?"

It took the three of them some time to usher a dazed Winston and a lovestruck Peter to the lab. The entire time, Janine was taping everything and chuckling to herself.

Once inside the lab, Peter hopped on a table, dragging Winston with him. Egon had to help Winston onto the table, because of all the thumps he took to the head.

Egon put on his goggles and rubber gloves. "Raymond, would you retrieve the formula please?"

Winston shook his head. He was having a bad dream, or he thought so. The kissy sounds brought him back to reality when he turned and saw Peter puckering up at him. "AHHH!" he screamed and tried to scramble from the grip.

Ray had hobbled to the fridge and got the potion out. When he was returning, he stumbled on his bad foot and was kicked by one of Winston's flailing feet.

A few droplets flew from the glass and splashed onto Winston's face.

"Aww hell!" Winston cursed, flicking the small blobs of the orange goo from his cheeks.

Peter let out an enraged sound. "You hurt my Winnie!" he reached out and whacked Ray on the hand. He turned his attentions back to Winston. "Are you okay, Winnie?!"

Winston faced Peter and felt a hammer come crashing onto his head. Peter was so cute! "I'm fine, Snookums."

Ray, Janine, and Egon looked at each other. "Snookums?!"

Ray looked at the tumbler and instantly put it on the desk. "Oh my god, what have I done?!"

Janine gasped. "I don't believe this. I need more tape!" she exclaimed.

Egon sighed and went into action. "I better synthesize an antidote and quick. Ray, make sure to keep an eye on them."

Ray nodded, saluting at the taller scientist. "Right."

"Oh, and Ray?" Egon asked.

"Yes?" Ray said, looking back at Egon.

"Don't spill anything else on them!" he ordered.

Meanwhile, Winston and Peter were hugging and cooing at one another. The sounds of their playing drew everyone's attention back to them.

"I think I'm going to be sick," Ray said.

Janine only laughed as she popped in another tape and started rolling.

Egon blanched. "I think one of my teeth developed a new cavity."

* * * *

Ray was keeping a firm eye on the kissy birds in the tv room and was armed with a yardstick. Whenever one of them moved, he had to whack at the floor and make them jump back. Janine only captured moments when they cooed and hugged one another, calling each other, "Snookums," and "Winnie."

Janine left the room to get another battery for the camera. Ray was reading a magazine, keeping an eye on them every few seconds. He saw an interesting article on psychic mediums and was hooked. He never saw the two men sneak past, giggling slightly.

When he looked up, he saw he was alone. "Oh crap!" Ray exclaimed, jumping to his feet, taking care not to hurt his already damaged one.

He called their names as he walked through the firehouse. The first places he checked were the lab and bunkroom. Nothing. He headed downstairs towards Janine's desk. He saw nothing again. He was about to head towards the door to check outside when he heard more giggling.

He went to Peter's office and caught them on the desk. The sight was enough to make his teeth ache.

* * * *

"We're finally alone, Winnie!" Peter said, wrapping his arms around the bigger man.

Winston ran a hand through Peter's brown hair. "You sure Ray didn't follow us, Snookums?"

Peter giggled, blushing. "Nope, I made sure to put that magazine out."

The two embraced as they started making smoochie sounds at one another.

Ray's face appeared at the small entrance. "There you are!" he roared, whacking at Winston with the yardstick to make them break up.

Peter noticed the man and gave a loud, "EEP!"

"Run for it!" Winston ordered, hopping over the railing and running for the stairs. For the next five minutes, Ray chased Winston and Peter around the firehouse.

The chase ended back on the floor where the two escaped. Exasperated at the speed of the pair, he raised his voice in a yell. "EGON!"

Instead of Egon coming to his aid, it was Janine. "What's wrong, Ray?" she asked, emerging from the lab.

Behind Janine, Egon appeared. "What?"

Ray bent over, gasping for air. "I can't get both of them!"

Peter put his hands on his hips. "Ray, if you want to join in, you don't have to be so pushy! Just ask!"

Ray looked at Peter with wide eyes and shuddered at the thought.

Egon sighed. "Janine, help him please. I'm almost finished with the antidote!"

Janine looked longingly at her camera for a second. "Fine! Ray, you get Winston, I'll take Peter."

"I don't want you! I want Winnie!" Peter pouted like a five-year old.

Ray took the opportunity to leap at Winston, knocking him to the floor. Winston screamed and squirmed in Ray's gasp. Ray knew Winston could have easily broken his hold, but he didn't.

Winston cried out for help. "Snookums, help!"

Hearing his love in distress, Peter made a move to go rescue Winston. Janine leaped and grabbed for Peter, catching his upper arms. "GOTCHA!"

Peter wondered why he couldn't move. When he saw the blue eyes of the secretary, he knew why then. "Winnie!"

It took every ounce of Janine and Ray's strength to usher to two men back into the lab. Once back in the lab, they released them. Winston and Peter immediately ran for the haven of each other's arms.

Janine resumed rolling with the camera and tried not to snigger. "That's right, smooch it up, kids."

Egon finally noticed that she had a camera. "Good thinking, Janine. We'll need photographic evidence of this phenomenon."

Janine looked at Egon. "Whatever you say, Egon. I just know I'm getting a raise after this."

Egon removed his goggles and stood before the camera. "Antidote. Love Potion." He turned and sprinkled the contents of a beaker over the heads of Winston and Peter.

They both closed their eyes as the liquid seeped down their hair into their faces.

Winston was the first to open his eyes. "Egon, what the hell did you do that for?!"

Peter was next. "Egon, you better have a good reason for dumping this on me-- Winston, why are you hugging me?!"

Winston shifted and saw Peter in his arms. "Why is your hand on my ass?" he accused.

Both men broke away, wiping their hands on their shirts. "GYAH!"

Janine laughed. "And I have it all on tape!"

Winston stared at Janine. "You WHAT?!"

"JANINE!" Peter roared, lunging for the camera. He would have caught her, but Egon stepped in front of him.

"Peter, please. I need evidence of this phenomenon."

Peter glared at Egon. "How about evidence of a human body being ripped to shreds in 2.5 seconds!" he roared, lunging again for the camera.

Winston was shuddering. "I feel so dirty!" he moaned, wiping his hands, "What the hell happened?"

Ray sighed for what seemed the twentieth time since the whole incident started. "Well, Peter made a love potion from one of the spells in one of my old spell books. He accidentally got some on himself and you were the first person he saw."

Winston's cheeks had a greenish tint to them. "I remember that much. What happened to me?!"

Ray turned a bit red in the face. "Well, when Egon wanted the potion, Iaccidentallydroppedsomeonyou."

Winston's eyebrows raised at the mumbled sentence. "You did WHAT?!"

Ray shied away. "I said I accidentally dropped some on you."

Winston folded his arms and closed his eyes. "Ray, I'm having a really hard time trying to NOT kill you!"

Ray felt his knees quiver. Winston was truly pissed at him. "I'm sorry?" he offered.

Winston glowered and growled in response.

"It's all over," Egon supplied. Janine had hooked the camera to the VCR, and could now run the tape. "Here's the data we collected."

The tape started playing, showing Winston and Peter engulfed in a tight embrace and making kissy faces.

Both men screamed, breaking a few decibel levels in the firehouse.

Their screams attracted a certain ghost. Slimer swooped down from the ceiling, stopping in front of the tv. "Oooh, Pweter and Winston kissy kissy!" the ghost burbled.

Winston moaned in disgust. He spat and wiped at his mouth.

"I KISSED YOU?!" Peter screamed as he mimicked Winston's motions.

"EWWW!" Both moaned.

Janine turned the camera off and unhooked it from the VCR. She removed the tape from the holder and slid it down her shirt, putting it in a place where Peter wouldn't dare try to get it. "I know now what to sell the next time the business goes into the red... "

Peter looked at Janine mortified. "JANINE! You wouldn't!?"

Janine simply threw her head back and laughed loudly.

Winston moaned, "She would."

Both men thought of the prospects of something this monumental getting out to the press. Each clutched his chest as they simultaneously fainted.

Somehow, as they collapsed, they wound up lying next to each other.

Janine inserted another tape into the camera. "They look cute together, don't they?"

Ray and Egon couldn't help but crack up at the thought.
